Trip to Turkey and Greece

Dear Colleagues and Friends:

I would like to extend an invitation to those of you involved in church ministry as well as lay people to join the Flemington Presbyterian Church for an exciting educational and spiritual journey to Turkey and Greece.

Christian educators have increasingly discovered the transformative power of travel to places of great historical and religious significance.  As people travel to places where visionary men and women of faith forged new beliefs and practices, they advance their own understanding of the scriptures and church history, nurture faith and build community. They return home with new excitement for local church programs and initiatives.

Both Greece and Turkey are an excellent venue for adult continuing education and faith formation programs, tracing the journeys of Paul, visiting cities associated with the book of Revelation, and exploring sites associated with the rise of Christianity in the late Roman Empire – such as the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul.  Turkey includes great opportunities for interfaith dialogue and intercultural experiences both at archaeological sites as well as in urban centers.

This travel trip provides a way to foster continuing education, ongoing faith formation, interfaith understanding and more compassionate ways of life.

Please join me for an inspiring educational and spiritual journey in this rich land!
